Every morning in Tapachula, Mexico,  you can watch the sun rise over the Tajumulco volcano in Guatemala like a quiet sermon preached by creation itself from the top of the mission house.  As light spills across the peaks, it feels as though God is once again reminding the earth that mercy has arrived on time. The shadows retreat, the land awakens, and hope stands tall against the sky. Just as the sunrise is faithful and unearned, so are the grace and mercy of the God we serve new every morning, unwavering, and powerful enough to illuminate even the darkest valleys. Beneath those glowing volcanoes, we are reminded that the same God who commands the dawn also watches over our lives with steadfast love.
